Project Description

TimberQuest is an innovative approach in providing a highly efficient solution for building cost-effective, sustainable, pre-fabricated cross laminated timber (CLT) single-story classrooms for the California K-12 and community college markets.

TimberQuest features nine interior layout design options of which can be combined into various floor plan configurations. Most buildings canbe erected onsite over one summer break!

Not only are the plans pre-checked and pre-approved with DSA, but they’re also designed to be energy efficient through the use of allelectric heat pump technology, exceeding California’s Title 24 energy usage standards anywhere between 35% and 60% across California’s climate zones, LED interior lighting, and water-conserving plumbing fixtures.

The Pragmatic Professional Engineering team was honored in being able to provide the design team with a coordinated Revit model of our Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems accompanied with our in-house Energy Modeling services.
