Established in 1898, Sacred Heart Schools (SHS) is an independent, Catholic coed school providing educational excellence to its students from preschool through high school. With SHS’s astounding reputation in Atherton, California comes an influx of young minds. And when SHS saw an urgent need of classrooms for its youngest students,

TimberQuest became a godsend. TimberQuest, a sustainable, energy-efficient, high-quality building design solution, features a pre-fabricated cross-laminated timber (CLT) design pre-checked and pre-approved by the Division of the State Architect (DSA). This innovative approach provided the establishment with a new 4,000 sq ft kindergarten building, featuring a four classroom layout, in just 11 weeks.

Pragmatic Professional Engineers provided a coordinated Revit model of our Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems to the design team. The all-electric design features high-efficiency heat pump units, LED interior lighting, and water-conserving plumbing fixtures.
