Project Description

Pragmatic Professional Engineers provided fire protection design services for the new Mind Gym facility located within an existing building (B549) at Travis Air Force Base. 

Pragmatic PE was responsible for the fire sprinkler design, which included modifications to the existing system to accommodate the new layout of the Mind Gym. The scope involved relocating and integrating sprinklers to ensure optimal coverage and compliance with safety standards. The design ensured that the new facility was fully protected while maintaining seamless integration with the existing infrastructure.

The project involved detailed coordination to ensure the fire sprinkler system met all regulatory requirements while fitting within the constraints of the existing building layout. The design work was developed using 2-D AutoCAD, with careful consideration given to light hazard classification. Collaboration with the fire sprinkler contractor ensured that the fabrication and installation were executed smoothly, with all necessary adjustments made to align with the existing system.
