Project Description

This Google HVAC Rooftop Improvements project is for a warehouse and attached office building located in Mountain View, California.

Pragmatic Professional Engineers provided mechanical engineering and design for the project which included sizing and locating rooftop packaged air conditioning units for the warehouse that are Title 24 compliant. For the office building, the active chilled beam technology was engineered and designed to serve the office spaces. This system included an Air-Cooled Heat Recover Chiller and Rooftop Packaged Heat Pump unit to provide Title 24 compliant outside air requirements and supplemental air for the active chilled beams.

This design provided smaller ducts and air conditioning unit serving the office space. Another benefit for this design is the use of stratified air that wil provide better air quality for the occupants.
