Project Description

The Robert Randall Elementary School project involved the construction of a new two-story Multi-Purpose Building featuring a servery kitchen, PE area, and administrative building. Classified under occupancy types A-2, B, and E, and construction type V-B, this project was completed in 2021, adhering to Title 24 Commissioning and CALGreen codes.

Pragmatic Professional Engineers managed the commissioning through Eichler Associates Inc. for the HVAC, lighting controls, and plumbing systems for the new MPR and admin buildings. Key features of the project include:

  • HVAC System: Installation of packaged rooftop units, heat pump, make-up air unit, fan coils, duct silencers, variable volume & temperature (VVT) dampers, VVT bypass dampers, and exhaust fans.

  • Lighting Control System: Implementation of Wattstopper controls.

  • Plumbing System: Installation of an electrical water heater and a gas water heater.

This project aimed to provide a modern and efficient multi-purpose facility, enhancing the educational and administrative environment for students and staff.
