Project Description
The Andrew P. Hill High School Student Union project involved the comprehensive modernization of the existing Student Union building, focusing on significant upgrades to the mechanical and electrical systems. This project, classified under occupancy type A-2 and construction type V-B, included Title 24 Commissioning and adhered strictly to CALGreen codes.
Pragmatic Professional Engineers managed the commissioning through Eichler Associates Inc. for the new HVAC equipment, lighting controls, and irrigation systems. Key features of the project include:
HVAC System: Installation of air conditioning units, make-up air units, split system fan coils with condensing units, and exhaust fans.
Lighting Control System: Implementation of Wattstopper controls.
The modernization aimed to enhance the operational efficiency and sustainability of the Student Union, ensuring a comfortable and energy-efficient environment for students and staff.
