Project Description

Pragmatic Professional Engineers is providing a robust fire sprinkler system design for the new Performing Arts Center at Milpitas High School, which is set to open in August 2025. This project focuses solely on the new facility, ensuring top-level fire protection for the state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center.

Pragmatic PE delivered a complete fire protection design package, which includes the fire sprinkler system layout, a fire department submittal package, and a detailed fabrication list. The team also provided installation drawings and handled material submittals. BIM coordination was conducted to ensure the fire protection system integrates seamlessly with other building systems, using 3D tools like AutoSprink and Revit to enhance precision and collaboration. 

The design process involved precise pipe sizing and sprinkler placement to ensure maximum efficiency and coverage. Pragmatic PE coordinated closely with the Fire Sprinkler Contractor and the local Fire Department to ensure compliance with all relevant codes and standards. By leveraging 3D modeling, the team was able to identify and address potential clashes early in the design phase, preventing costly delays during construction. 

The result will be a reliable, efficient fire protection system that meets all safety regulations and provides peace of mind for the school’s staff and students.
