Project Description

The Presidio of Monterey project involved the restoration of HVAC systems and the installation of new controls, including an Energy Management System (EMS) with front-end graphics, in an existing one-story mixed-use building primarily comprising retail spaces, with a warehouse and small offices. Most mechanical equipment is housed within dedicated mechanical rooms accessible from outside the building. The project scope included ensuring the system's functionality and managing a complex Sequence of Operations (SOO) combined with a robust Building Management System (BMS).

Pragmatic PE’s commissioning agents guided the successful testing and functionality of all HVAC equipment and the Building Management System. The addition of the EMS significantly increased the building's operational efficiency, providing better control and monitoring of the HVAC systems, which led to enhanced energy savings and performance.
